Terms of Service
Welcome to ScrubEase! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the services offered by ScrubEase, including bookings, payments, recurring services, short-term rental (STR) services, and any add-on services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. Please read them carefully before using ScrubEase.
1. Overview of Services
ScrubEase offers a variety of cleaning services, including:
- Standard Cleaning: Routine cleaning services to keep your home or office spotless and organized.
- Deep Cleaning: In-depth cleaning for areas requiring extra attention, ensuring a thorough and meticulous clean.
- Move-In/Move-Out Cleaning: Cleaning services designed to ensure a clean slate when moving into or out of a space.
- STR Host Plan (Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com): Specialized cleaning services for short-term rental hosts to ensure their property is guest-ready.
- Specialty Services: Add-on services like carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and more for specific cleaning needs.
Both Standard Cleaning and Deep Cleaning services can be booked as one-time or recurring services. STR Host Plan services are tailored to short-term rental properties and can include automatic recurring bookings. Specialty Services can be added to any other service as an enhancement.
2. Regular Operating Hours
ScrubEase operates Monday through Sunday, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Any service requests or bookings outside of these hours will be handled on the next available day during regular operating hours. Our customer support is also available during these hours to assist you with any queries or issues you may have.
3. Customer Responsibilities
By using ScrubEase, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information when booking, including correct property details and contact information.
- Ensure that ScrubEase crew members have safe and timely access to the property during the scheduled service time.
- Ensure the property is safe for the crew to perform their tasks (e.g., no hazardous conditions, sufficient lighting, etc.).
- Understand that ScrubEase is not liable for delays or incomplete services caused by customer-related issues, such as denying access, improper property conditions, or incorrect information.
4. Payment and Non-Refundable Fees
All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. ScrubEase charges a non-refundable 4% fee on the total booking amount to cover processing and administrative costs. This fee is applicable to all bookings, including recurring and STR services, as well as specialty add-on services. The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, even in cases of cancellations or modifications.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Within 24 Hours: Cancellations made within or less than 24 hours before the scheduled service time are not eligible for a refund.
- Between 24 and 48 Hours: Cancellations made between 24 and 48 hours before the scheduled service time are eligible for a 50% refund of the service cost, minus the non-refundable 4% booking fee.
- Beyond 48 Hours: Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service time are eligible for a full refund, minus the non-refundable 4% booking fee.
All refunds, if applicable, will be processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days. ScrubEase is not responsible for any delays caused by third-party payment processors.
6. Dispute Resolution and Chargebacks
If you have any disputes about a booking or payment, you agree to contact ScrubEase to resolve the issue before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. By initiating a chargeback without contacting ScrubEase first, you may forfeit any future service or resolution. We will work with you to resolve disputes promptly.
7. Recurring Bookings
Standard Cleaning and Deep Cleaning services can be booked as recurring services. For customers with recurring bookings, ScrubEase will automatically schedule your next service once the current service is completed or canceled. Your payment method will be charged for each new booking, including the 4% non-refundable fee. The cancellation policy applies to each recurring booking as outlined in Section 5.
To terminate recurring services, you must delete the recurring booking schedule via your account or contact customer support. If you have completed fewer than three services before canceling, a $100 USD cancellation fee will apply, which covers the discounted rates offered for recurring bookings. Larger properties may incur higher cancellation fees, which will be communicated prior to booking. ScrubEase reserves the right to update the cancellation fee at any time.
8. Short-Term Rental (STR) Services
STR Host Plan services will automatically schedule the next cleaning once a current service is completed or canceled. The customer will be charged for each new STR booking, including the 4% non-refundable fee. The cancellation and refund policy applies to STR bookings in the same way as it does for other bookings (see Section 5).
To stop recurring STR services, you must delete the STR Calendar through your account or contact customer support. A cancellation fee of $100 USD will apply if fewer than three services have been completed. Larger properties may incur higher cancellation fees.
9. Specialty Add-On Services
Specialty services like carpet cleaning, window cleaning, and other add-ons can be included with any standard or deep cleaning booking. The 4% non-refundable fee also applies to these services. Specialty services are subject to the same cancellation and refund policies as outlined in Section 5.
10. Service Completion and Access
ScrubEase crew members are expected to arrive within 1 hour of the scheduled booking time. If the crew is delayed beyond 1 hour, you are entitled to cancel for a full refund (excluding the non-refundable fees). Crew members will be allowed up to 4 hours to complete their tasks from the time they arrive at the property.
If the customer prevents the crew from starting work within 1 hour of the scheduled time or interrupts the service, ScrubEase reserves the right to charge the full booking amount, and no refund will be provided unless otherwise agreed in writing. The customer is responsible for ensuring the crew has safe and timely access to the property.
11. Right to Refuse or Modify Service
ScrubEase reserves the right to refuse or modify any service if the crew encounters unsafe conditions, inaccurate booking information, or other factors beyond our control. In such cases, ScrubEase will notify you promptly and may offer an alternative booking or refund. In instances where our crew is faced with harassment, abuse of any form, discrimination, offensive language, or an unsafe or uncomfortable environment caused by the customer or at the residence of the customer, ScrubEase will still charge the full payment for the scheduled service, and no refund will be issued. Your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and respectful environment for our staff are greatly appreciated.
12. Force Majeure
ScrubEase is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, ScrubEase will work to reschedule your service for a later date, but no refunds will be provided for services delayed by force majeure events.
13. Discount Codes
Discount codes applied to bookings are non-refundable and can only be used once per booking. If a booking is canceled or resolved, the discount code will not be re-applied or reused. Refunds will not include any amounts associated with discount codes, and they are non-recoverable once used by the customer. Discounts can only be applied to a new service or the first service of a recurring or short-term rental service.
14. Gift Cards
Gift cards purchased from ScrubEase are non-refundable. The non-refundable 4% processing fee applies to all gift card purchases. Gift cards can only be redeemed and used on ScrubEase for new services. While gift card details such as the recipient information can be modified, you must contact ScrubEase customer support to make any changes to your gift card information.
15. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in Texas, United States, and the laws of Texas shall govern the proceedings. You waive the right to bring claims in court or participate in a class action lawsuit.
In the event of any litigation or arbitration proceedings, should ScrubEase prevail in the case, the customer agrees to cover all legal fees, including attorney's fees and court costs incurred by ScrubEase in the process.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Texas, United States of America. Any disputes or claims arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Texas, United States of America.
17. Changes to Terms of Service
ScrubEase reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
